Call for Applications
The call for application for the next cycle (XXXIX - November call) is out!
General Information is available:

The application must be submitted through a dedicated online service. See the on-line help for instructions.
You must fill in the form with your personal data and specify the PhD program you are applying for, namely “Security, Risk and Vulnerability”. You must also specify a curriculum.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the Coordinator of the Curriculum they are interested in. In case they wish to visit the department, they can contact the PhD program coordinator, the Curriculum Coordinator, or the proposer(s) of a specific theme or scholarship.
IMPORTANT: For admission you must have a University degree at Master level or you must obtain it by October 31.
If you have a foreign degree (i.e. if you did not graduate in Italy) your application must follow an ad hoc procedure to have your degree recognized as equivalent to an Italian degree.
To complete the application you must upload a number of documents (in pdf format), including:
a valid photo ID (both sides and all pages);
a CV that clearly indicates your prior research experience, if any; this could include, e.g., a project work, publications, teaching experience, title and short summary of your Master’s thesis;
a proposed research project consistent with the research theme that you selected (10 pages maximum); (Guidelines for writing the research project are available here.)
a transcript of exams with grades.
Each candidate may be asked to provide reference letters to support the application. Please look at the call text of the curriculum of interest as different requirements may apply.
Reference letters must not be sent by the candidate. The reference letters must be sent by the writer of the letter to the email address(es) indicated in the official announcement of the PhD positions, before the submission deadline.
Writers of reference letters in support of applicants to the PhD program in Security, Risk and Vulnerability at the University of Genoa are asked to prepare a reference letter following the template below either in English or Italian. If indicated in the call text of the curriculum, the writer of the reference letter is required to enclose also a CV. All information will be used only for the purpose of deciding admissions to the PhD program in Security, Risk and Vulnerability at the University of Genoa.
